On May 21, 2025, Alba Iulia hosted an international meeting as part of the Youth Municipal Climate Action – Y.M.C.A. project!

We had the pleasure of welcoming our partners from Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, and Lithuania, and working together with young people from the local community for a greener future.

Together, we analyzed the results of a questionnaire on climate change and looked for real solutions to the identified issues.

The day began with an energetic visit to Kindergarten No. 16 with Extended Program in Alba Iulia, where we learned that sustainable habits start early! The little ones won us over with their enthusiasm and showed us that it matters to everyone – no matter the age!

We then moved to “Alexandru Domșa” Technological High School in Alba Iulia, where we discussed with students about creative ways to raise awareness about climate change.

In the afternoon, we spent time at the Alba Iulia Dendrological Park, alongside our colleague Mihai Morar, admiring rare plants and talking about how we can reduce our carbon footprint through simple actions with a big impact.

The local community shows us that change starts here and that education is key. We thank Principal Violeta Colceriu and Ms. Carmen Sinc for their outstanding involvement and for the way they support environmental education among children and youth.

The conclusion of the day? It takes everyone for a sustainable future – from kindergarten to high school and beyond borders!
