The Municipality of Prague-Kolovraty is located on the south-eastern border of Prague, boasting a population of 3944 inhabitants. The Municipality executes the local agenda, administers amenities (nursery, retirement home, library, information center), and provides services (schooling) to ensure citizens’ well-being and inclusion. The Municipality is responsible for creating strategic plans for local development, implementing these strategies, and budgeting. It has vast experience with large, EU-funded
projects secured through the Operational Programs. Prague-Kolovraty skillfully manages public events and regularly supports civic associations and public bodies implementing volunteering and social inclusion actions. It is home to diverse minorities, who are highly integrated in the community and represent a great source of value for the entire territory. The Municipality executed projects funded by the European Social Fund and is now involved in 5 larger nationwide projects. Within CERV Networks of
Towns, Prague-Kolovraty wants to establish mutually beneficial, long-lasting, culturally rich, and impactful partnerships with other European municipalities. As partner and beneficiary, Prague-Kolovraty will be in charge of assisting the lead partner by providing all the relevant information in due time; it will organize and manage its assigned activities (events) and contribute to the communication campaign and the online content. Its expertise in managing large EU funds and in promoting multicultural integration will be of great relevance in this proposal, as it will organize and coordinate important conferences and workshops focusing on the role of youth activism and their dialogue with public local authorities. Local groups with expertise in youth work and environmental protection will be involved to deliver outstanding results. Its previous experience in the TFC project will highly benefit the current partnership in reaching higher results.
