The Youth Municipal Climate Action (YMCA) project is an EU-funded initiative under the CERV program, designed to:
✔️ Engage young people in municipal climate policy discussions
✔️ Strengthen cooperation between European municipalities
✔️ Promote sustainable best practices at the local level
YMCA builds on the success of The Food Club project, which focused on intercultural dialogue. Now, the focus shifts to climate action, ensuring that young people have a voice in shaping policies that affect their future.
Why It Matters?
🌍 Climate change is a global crisis that requires local action.
👥 Young people are key stakeholders in building a green future.
🏙️ Municipalities need effective solutions to mitigate climate impacts.
YMCA provides the tools and platform for youth and decision-makers to work together for change.
